About Me

Founder, Chief Writer @ Salti Works

Namaste! Hey fellas!

My name is Saloni, and I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Jodhpur, India. I did my undergraduate in BBA from Christ University, Bangalore and then joined WHU in Germany for MSc Finance program. I went to Lund University in Sweden for my exchange semester abroad and absolutely loved my time there. I wrote my thesis with the Sustainability Finance team at adidas HQ titled, “Transitioning Towards Circular Business Model at adidas: A Finance Perspective”. Currently, I am looking for full time jobs across the globe and trying to take writing more seriously and write my first story.

My love affair with writing started when I was in secondary school. It was either in sixth or seventh grade when I wrote a short poem about life. It was my first piece of writing and it went like this:

Life is easy, I know that

Life is wonderful, I know I have to share

Life is marvelous, Yes it is

To make it better,

Let’s live it

I vividly recall that I wrote this poem on a yellow chart paper and stuck it on one of the walls of my school’s computer lab.

I got a lot of appreciation for my first piece which is why I started writing many more poems and even ventured into writing stories. But it was all limited to my diaries and their narrations, to the people around me. Following the footsteps of my cousin sister and in pursuit of a wider audience, I started a blog in the year 2015. It was called Saloni’s Words Come Alive and it felt like a dream.

My first post on that blog was titled, 3 Apples Changed the World, Why Can’t You?

It was well-received and to this day whenever I read it, even as its writer, I am inspired.

The goal of my writing since its inception has always been to have a positive influence on people. Through my creative endeavours, I want my readers to be inspired, to be happy and to become appreciative and aware of things around them.

I don’t like writing critiques much, but whenever I do, I try to do it with all modesty. The fact that I write one is because I believe that there is a scope for the betterment and it would pain me till the very end if I don’t talk about it and let things be as it.

I am still in my early twenties, growing and learning every day and this blog is indicative of just that.

The dream of my life is to be able to write something that makes a difference in the world and win a Man Booker Prize and for that, I seek your support and encouragement.

Thank you and love you all.
